Come and Make Chocolate the Authentic Historical Way!
Join food historian and archaeologist Emma Kay and work with historical Mexican artefacts to learn about chocolate’s symbolic value – and grizzly role – in traditional Day of the Dead rituals. After grinding and blending cocoa beans to make an authentic spiced drink, take a trip across the Atlantic and find out how European tastes transformed chocolate into the commercialised Halloween staple we would recognise today. Master new skills and ancient techniques and walk away with a seasonal treat!
